Backend Software Development Engineer at Cisco Bangalore

• Design, develop, and test software applications using Java, microservices, and cloud systems • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements • Develop scalable, secure, and efficient software systems that meet Cisco's high standards

• Proficiency in Java programming language • Experience with microservices and cloud systems • Strong understanding of software development principles, patterns, and practices • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Experience with Vert.x or Kotlin-based microservices. Hands-on use of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and service mesh technologies. Deep Kafka expertise, including partitions, consumer groups, and exactly-once processing. Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK. Strong skills in troubleshooting distributed systems and JVM performance issues.
